E3 is something I won’t lose, just like last year. I watched it live at Game Spot.
Was worth the time I spent watching it!

Anyway, THQ president and CEO Brian Farrell has said something interesting about this year’s E3.

To quote IGN:

Speaking at the Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference today in San Francisco, THQ president and CEO Brian Farrell says this year’s E3 in Los Angeles will showcase a new graphical step for the current generation of consoles.

“I think the theme of this E3, certainly our E3, is look at what we can do from a development standpoint, look at what these current boxes can do,” said Farrell. “We haven’t even tapped into the full capacity of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 yet.”

THQ recently hyped the event during the company’s latest earnings call. The publisher plans to debut several new titles at the show, including a new Red Faction title and new motion-control games for Natal and Sony’s wand.

Keep tuned for more news.

According to Erik Brudvig, from IGN, Deep Silver will be publishing a Risen, a massive open-world role-playing game, in North America on Xbox 360.
For those interested in the game, it is already available on the PC platform.

To quote:

Risen joins the ranks of Mass Effect 2 and Divinity II: Ego Draconis as epic RPGs to come out of the gate for Xbox 360 in early 2010. This one features over 60 hours of gameplay in a medieval fantasy setting. Players will naturally make decisions, battle nasty creatures, and venture throughout the “forbidden isle.”

The game is being adapted for Xbox 360, including a reworking of the controls, so expect some impressions on how well the conversion goes just as soon as we here at IGN can get our hands on it. Until then, be sure to read our review of the PC version for more details.

Here’s the trailer:
